HISTORY

After 14 years with another concrete contractor, I started out on my own in April 1984. In 1986 we Incorporated and became Burgess Concrete Construction, Inc. Over the years our work focus has always been commercial and industrial. A number of employees who were hired in the first 5 years as laborers are still with us as foremen and key leaders today.

Since then we have expanded our focus to include institutional and MDOT projects. We are approved by the major universities and businesses, and also qualified by the State of Michigan.

Our fleet of equipment has also expanded from a pickup truck and bobcat in 1984 to over 50 vehicles and trailers with a large number of support equipment:

• Excavation: dozers, loaders, excavators, backhoe, dumps

• Concrete: laser screed, concrete pump, boom truck, crane, sky tracks, fork lifts and more.

The office staff has also expanded with the growth of the company from one phone on a corner desk to a full staff including a Receptionist, Job Cost Manager, Payroll Manager, Project Managers, Project Administration and Field Manager, all of which are skilled in computer technology. The future potential is limitless with the quality of personnel on the BCC team. Each is looking for a new challenge.
